Thermistor, also known as negative temperature coefficient, its resistance value decreases with the increase of temperature, and its resistance value changes with the change of ambient temperature, so its temperature test range is often used as a temperature test. Generally, when measuring thermistors with higher temperature, the more important parameters are rated zero power resistance value and accuracy, that is, the current resistance value. The thermistors are composed of polycrystalline ceramics of mixed oxides. Taking Xufeng as an example, the common types of thermistors and their main functions are introduced below.


Epoxy resin package thermistor, this thermistor chip is welded on various leads and packaged with epoxy resin. Its main features are small size, fast reaction speed and high measurement accuracy. Black epoxy resin infusion surface is smooth and burr-free, resin infusion is full and bubble-free for a long time, and it works stably. It is mainly used in temperature measurement, compensation and control of high-precision instruments and meters.


Enamelled wire thermistor, which is packaged with epoxy resin, is a kind of precision temperature sensor thermistor. The resistor chip is welded on two copper enameled wires. At present, there are conventional wire diameters and enameled wires with different wire diameters, which are widely used in electronic desk calendars, thermometers, mobile phones, batteries, lithium ion batteries and various instruments and equipment.


Chip-packaged thermistor, the most important feature of chip-type thermistor is its small size and no leads, which is very suitable for surface mount production. Mainly used in various instruments and equipment, temperature compensation circuit, battery temperature measurement, temperature measurement of various microprocessors and chips, etc.


Glass-encapsulated thermistors, which have thermal chips inside, are mainly characterized by small size, high precision and fast anti-aging. Because of the characteristics of glass encapsulation, they are suitable for use in harsh environments such as high temperature and humidity. Generally, there are two kinds of thermistors: single-ended glass seals and axial leads. This kind of thermistor is very common and widely used in temperature detection and temperature control of office automation equipment and various household appliances. Now, the development of thermistors is not limited to the separation type, but more is combined with sensors to form various probe assemblies, which can be used as an integral sensor.
