Thermistor is a kind of sensitive element. Its typical characteristic is extremely sensitive to temperature. It can show different resistance values at different temperatures, and its resistance value will change with the change of temperature. The NTC thermistor is a semiconductor device. As its name implies, the higher the temperature, the lower the resistance. 


NTC thermosensitive semi-conductive ceramics are mostly oxide ceramics with spinel structure or other structures, with negative temperature coefficient, and the resistance value can be approximately expressed as: 


Rt = RT *EXP(Bn*(1/T-1/T0) 


For the relationship between temperature and resistance of NTC thermistor, most of them can be applied to some instruments and meters that require very high precision. Many components (such as wire wound resistor) are made of metal wire, and metal generally has a positive temperature coefficient.It can be compensated by NTC thermistor, one positive and one negative, which can offset the error caused by temperature change and improve the accuracy. When the NTC is connected to the circuit, it will always pass a certain amount of current, which will cause the NTC to generate heat, and the resistance of the NTC will decrease, which will have a great impact on the measurement. Therefore, controlling its own heat is also determined by this principle.
